In one of the forgotten experiments of the 1950s, scientists bombarded plants with radiation to force new mutations, an
unpredictable process known as Atomic Gardening. Most attempts failed. But every once in a while a desirable variation could be cultivated further.
In the same vein, Atomic Fruit's music is always mutating, evolving.
With members from Sweden, France and Italy, the group formed in 2021 after a serendipitous meeting at a SUUNS concert. With their first show only two weeks later, the band quickly became a fixture of the Berlin underground scene with their genre defying, high intensity live sets.
Atomic Fruit combines dreamy psychedelic rock with electronic beats and exploratory songwriting. Drawing on analog synthesizers and guitar pedal tap dancing, their sound takes inspiration from trip hop, jungle, and electronica.
